ITALIAN SUPPLY CHAIN OF HOPS AND BARLEY FOR THE BREWING SECTOR (F.I.L.O PROJECT)

The project stems from a shared path between research and businesses: the seven companies involved will develop their innovation activities based on the results obtained by the Universities of Udine and Parma and the Sant'Anna Superior Institute of Pisa, which will provide the scientific foundations for the entire supply chain. The research plan of the University of Udine will be conducted according to sustainability criteria, with the aim of combining technological innovation, valorization of local genetic resources, and reduction of the environmental impact of the malting supply chain.
