According to recent analysis by the Brewers Association, 88% of craft beer consumers enjoy drinking beer with meals, and 63% choose beer based on the dish ordered.
Market research also shows that 40% of consumers are more likely to order a beer when it is suggested as a pairing with food, highlighting a key opportunity for both breweries and hospitality venues (source: metrobi.com).

Distribution and emerging trends

Beyond classic pairings with traditional dishes, new formats are gaining traction: themed dinners, collaborations with chefs, pairing events, and food truck partnerships are expanding experiential consumption opportunities.
A practical example? Breweries hosting permanent food trucks, such as pizzerias, create spontaneous culinary combinations that attract customers without complicating operations.

 

 

Enhancing the product through pairing

Designing beer and food pairings not only enriches the taste experience, but also strengthens brand communication. Pairing guides, tasting samplers, and themed formats help consumers understand beer’s sensory profiles while building a stronger connection with the product.

 

 

Consumer trends

  • On-premise consumption is on the rise: more than 75% of consumers dine out, and about 50% visit bars to drink beer (fonte: beercpa.com).

  • Beer and food pairing fits perfectly into this context, enhancing product value and satisfying the demand for new, integrated dining experiences.
